The StoneFly Vineyard 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet Franc exhibits a dark, rich garnet color and an essence of black cherry with a hint of thyme. It has a peppery nose and a finish reminiscent of the classic Chinons of the Loire Valley.

There is a subtle flavor of cocoa as the wine opens up. It displays a medium body and a long smooth finish with supple tannins. Although it is drinking well now, it will continue to improve until 2011 with proper cellaring.
